Scotty McCreery was born October 9, 1993 is an american country singer from Garner, North Carolina.
He won the tenth season od american idol on may 25, 2011. McCreery was born in 1993 to judy nee cooker and Micheal McCreery. Scotty used to impersonsate elvis as a child, and started learing guitar at age ten.
He attend timber drive elementry school in garener, and later west lake middle school where he sanf at his school graduation. He also attend Garner magnet high school where he joined a vocals ensemble die meistersinger that performed across the U.S. He started out singing tenor but switched to bass when his voice turned lower in his sophomes year. Scotty won a sining contest clayton idol at clayton harvest festival in Clayton NC. He was one of the 36 finalist in a rip the hallways contest feature teenagae vocalist.
He performed at varlioys local events. He also attended caswell youth retreat in summer of 2009 in the talnet show ther he sang long black train by: Josh Turner. Scotty often states that his faith plays a big role in his life that god helps him. He openly tell other that he loves jesus christ with all his heart. He states that sunday is his favorite day of the week because he get to go to the first baptist church in Garner and help his mother cook.
