Zombieland is a 2009 American zombie comedy film directed by Ruben Fleisher from a screen play written by Paul Wernich. The film stars Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenburg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin as survivers of a zombie apocolypse. Together they take an exstended road trip across south western United states in an attempt to find sancuary free from zombies. Zombieland recieved positive critical reviews and was a commercial succsess grossing more than $60.8 million in 17 days. Surpassing the 2004 film "Dawn of the dead"as the top-grossing zombie film to date in the United States.
The plot of the movie is this: Two months after a mutated strain of the cow desiese has turned most humans into cannibal zombies. Uneffected college student "Colombus" (Jesse Eisenburg) is making his way to Col
ombus, Ohio to see wiether his parents are still alive. He encounters "Tallahassee" (Woody Herrelson) another survivor who seeks Twinkes. They later meet "Wichita" (Emma Stone) and her younger 12 year-old sister "Little Rock" (Abigail Breslin.) The sisters were con artists before the catostrophe, so they have little trouble tricking them into giving them thier car and weapons. Later the 2 men find a Hummer loaded with weapons, but when they meet the 2 girls again they once more get the upper hand. The girls are going to "Pacific Playland" amusment park, which is suposedly free of zombies. Colombus does not want to go at first but when Wichita informs him his hometown has been destroyed he stays with the group. When they reach Hollywood Tallahassee takes them to Bill Murrays mansion. Tallahassee and Wichita meet Murray who is uneffected but disguised as a zombie. When Murray attempts to scare Colombus as a practical joke he shoots and kills Murray. Wichita nearly kisses Colombus but fearing attachment, leaves with Little Rock to Pacific Playland. At Pacafic Playland Wichita and Little Rock turn on all the rides attracting nearly every zombie nearby. A battle ensues and Colombus and Tallahassee arrive and save the girls, in thanks Wichita reveals her real name of "Krista." Tallahassee elminates the remaining zombies and consumes a Twinkie Little Rock found.
