Title 1

Title 1

Title I, Parent Involvement Policy

As a parent, you are a part of the Title I team!  You influence your child’s education more than any teacher or school.  Your involvement can boost your child’s achievement.  By taking an active role in your child’s education, you will model to your child the following:

  • How important he or she is to you.
  • How important education is to you.
  • That you and the school are a team.

You know your child best so it is up to you to share information about your child’s interests and abilities with teachers and to speak up if you notice any problems that your child might be having at home or school.

Contact the school principal as to how you as a parent can volunteer at school.  We encourage parents to participate and be involved in school activities during the day and after school.

Our Title I program is a school-wide program.  As a result the school receives resources from the state and federal governments that enables us to upgrade the entire educational program.  We have employed support instructional staff to help all students.  Working together with parents and staff, we can focus on our goals of academic achievement for all students in order to meet state standards and goals of excellence we have set for our own district.
